Lost & Found

Immie's shoes have been missing for a few days. We finally found them in an old jiffy envelope under our bed. Wonder who put them there then ;)

Immie's favourite bedtime book

Immie is now asking for abedtime story. This is her current favourite. It's all about a daddy bear who has to babysit for grizzle bears. At first he struggles. Then he gets the hang of it and goes home to help his wife with their own baby. He's a SNAB. (Sensitive New Age Bear!)

Rescue cat

Last night Cat got left at nursery! I prepared myself for an hour of tears from Immie but fortunately managed to distract her. I rescued cat this morning as I couldn't face potentially a whole weekend of tears. Just need to remember to pick up Panda tonight :-/ Mama x - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

More mummy trickery

Immie hates wearing reins but she loves wearing backpacks. So imagine my delight when I found a little ladybird backpack that comes complete with a sort of dog lead! Perfect. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

We're going on a bear hunt!

We're going on a bear hunt is Immie's favourite new book. She has read it a lot at nursery and knows a lot of it off by heart, so we bought her a copy for home. Since the arrival of the book we have discovered that Immie is definitely developing a Barnsley accent, as she pronounces it "Bear oont!"

More cheesy mummy!

Immie loves cheese. Today I told her that there was no more cheese left as the cheese fairy only brings one a day and she'd already eaten it. This was a blatant lie. But she seemed happy enough with the explanation for NO MORE CHEESE! - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Low fat bacon

Low fat bacon is rubbish. Takes ages to brown then burns in an instant. Doesn't go crispy either, just chewy. :-/ Mama x - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Fresh start.

Well being a working mummy is taking its toll on my blog and Im struggling to keep up. So with this in mind Im going to have a go at photoblogging. Taking a photo each day and writing a short caption. In theory this should be easier to keep up with.

So here is my first picture.

Since Christmas Immie has insisted I stay in her bedroom till she falls asleep. As a busy teacher this is frustrating as I could be marking or planning, but as I mummy, I wouldn't miss it for the world.

Mispronunciations

Well it's been a while since I last posted (Christmas kind of got in the way!). Imogen has enjoyed spending over a week with a variety of adults and children. Whenever we spend time with our families, Imogen's language acquisition seems to go through the roof and she comes back with a whole host of new vocab.

So we have a whole new range of words, what makes me giggle though is her mispronunciation of words. Currently we have
Brumma - she means Grandma (and unfortunately for my mum it looks like this is sticking haha)
Pissing - she means pinching!
and my personal favourite
Wanket - she means blanket. Hearing her shout "Daddy, Wanket" makes me snigger.

Happy New Year!
